'The Architecture of Nature: Geometry, Structure & Space' opens 13 May as part of London Craft Week

This exhibition explores the unique geometry found in nature and how these forms have inspired philosophical thought, scientific theories, as well as art and architecture throughout history. The exhibition showcases immersive three-dimensional polyhedral structures which were created in a geometry workshop that explores traditional craft, delivered by The King's Foundation School of Traditional Arts.

With reference to these impressive polyhedral structures, 'The Architecture of Nature' examines ways in which pattern is expressed in nature and space, revealing how geometry influences art, craft and the rhythms and structures of life itself - from towering buildings to the delicate symmetry of flowers. The show delves into geometry’s symbolism alongside philosophical and scientific theories, touching on the work of Plato, Leonardo da Vinci and Johannes Kepler.

This free exhibition runs from Monday 13 to Monday 27 May.

Opening hours: Monday-Saturday, 11am-4pm
