Geometry and the Order of Nature

6th February - 26th March at The Prince's School for Traditional Arts, Charlotte Road, London

This course introduces students to the basic principles of geometry and number in Nature. It includes the study of the primary symmetry groups and their diverse application in the arts and crafts of the great traditions of the world.

Tutor biography

Tom Bree is a geometer-artist, teacher and writer. He completed his M.A. at the School in 2003 and has since been researching and teaching in the area of geometry and symbolism. Tom has been teaching on the public and M.A. programmes since 2008 and also organises his own geometry courses both in the UK and abroad. He is currently studying for a PhD at the School in which he is looking at the geometric design and symbolism of English Gothic cathedrals.
