Business in the Community
Business in the Community set up its ‘‘Seeing is Believing’’ programme to introduce business leaders to beneficial projects that take place in their community. As part of the programme they brought thirty corporate leaders and entrepreneurs to The Prince’s School of Traditional Arts to be introduced to our Outreach work. The visitors participated in workshops designed to demonstrate Outreach projects. The result was the creation of a mural made from block-printed patterns that they learned that evening and the success of this initial introduction has led to further projects with including involvement in Mosaic: the Muslim mentoring network, a project for supporting Muslim youth.
The Prince’s School is a member of the Mosaic Steering Committee. We also work with Mosaic to support their ongoing “World of Work” project, hosting groups of secondary students from East London to demonstrate the practice of the traditional arts.
