Richard Henry

RICHARD HENRY is an artist, geometer and educator with particular interest in the contemplative aspects of pattern. He has a background in philosophy and cognitive psychology. He studied sacred geometry and the geometry of Islamic patterns for two years at the Prince’s School under Keith Critchlow, one of the world’s leading authorities on the geometry of Islamic patterns. Richard co-edited and illustrated Miranda Lundy’s Sacred Number, a book about the history and symbolism of number. He works on all sorts of educational projects exploring links between geometry and art; regularly leading educational study tours cities to Istanbul, Fez and the Alhambra in Granada, and lecturing widely on these subjects in the UK and abroad.
