Persian Miniature Painting: Architecture (July 2018)

Explore intricate geometric patterns of architectural designs in Persian miniatures. Then construct a design in your own miniature painting, learning traditional techniques and using natural pigments and dyes.
What do I bring?
Please bring a palette with wells, and brushes. The tutor recommends Handover brushes series 33, numbers 00, 0, 1 and 2.
All other materials will be provided.

Farkhondeh Ahmadzadeh is an Iranian artist based in London. Her work explores the disciplines of Persian poetry manuscripts, sacred geometry and Persian miniatures. She has worked both as an academic and an artist in Iran, America and Europe.
For the last 20 years, Farkhondeh has regularly spent time living and studying under calligraphy masters in Iran. She graduated with distinction from The Prince's School's MA programme in 2011 and was awarded the Jerwood prize for Islamic traditional art.
